Within a year, AMD is working with Eyeware Tech to release a privacy app for PCs. Based on head and eye tracking technology, it will help partially hide the contents of the computer screen from prying eyes.
The app is expected to be released in the first half of 2022. Using patent-protected computer vision algorithms and artificial intelligence technologies, the program always knows what point of the screen the user is looking at and makes the rest of the display inaccessible to prying eyes. In the settings, you can set the privacy format by darkening or blurring the "inactive" areas of the screen. The app will also get other features, such as user detection at the workplace and locking the machine if necessary. Last year, Eyeware Tech's technology was the basis for another app aimed at a wide range of users & ; it was called Eyeware Beam. The app requires an iPhone or iPad with Face ID and a TrueDepth camera & ; the gadgets turn into multipurpose input devices with 6 degrees of freedom based on the user's head and eye movements. For example, this application can be used to control the in-game camera in Microsoft Flight Simulator and other games. It is noted that Eyeware Beam's capabilities are available to third-party developers to create their own solutions & ; the company provides API access for $99 per year.
