GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards began to rapidly gain popularity on Steam

Steam has published statistics about its users' systems for May.
The most interesting part of the fresh data is that it shows a noticeable increase in users of GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards.
This is not surprising - the deficit is receding, and prices are returning to normal, so gamers begin to update their systems with fresh cards. The strongest growth was shown by GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 graphics cards - for May they gained 0.24 and 0.19 percentage points respectively.
In third place was unexpectedly the GeForce GTX 1070, in fourth place was the GeForce RTX 3060, and in fifth place was the Radeon RX 5700.
The growth of the share of old video cards can be explained by the fact that they are very popular in the secondary market, and still quite good in games.
Nevertheless, GeForce GTX 1060 is still the most popular graphics card among Steam users.
In second place is GeForce GTX 1650, and in third place - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
The most popular AMD graphics card is also not the new Radeon RX 580.
As for CPUs, here AMD continues to gradually take away Intel's share.
For May, the Reds gained 1.24 percentage points, and their share was 32.80%.
Intel still has more than twofold advantage - 67.19%.
Also note that six-core processors are popular on Steam: their share is 33.6%, while four-core CPUs have 33.22%.
Six-core units have already been ahead of quad-core units since March, but succumbed in April and are now back in the lead.
In third place, with a share of 18.68% are octa-core processors.
Finally, with regards to operating systems.
64-bit Windows 10 is still the most popular, with 73.89% of users.
Windows 11 is in second place, with 19.59%.
Note that Windows 11 is growing faster than others, but still quite slowly - in May it gained only 0.65 percentage points.
