AMD released the Radeon RX 6700 graphics card four months ago, but the announcement was more of a formal one.
The manufacturer didn't report the performance data of the new product, but only added information about the card to its official website.
And now the company has decided to share some official data about its performance.Image source: VideoCardzWhich writes VideoCardz, Radeon RX 6700, despite the entry into the market, is in short supply.
There are no independent reviews on the web, so the data provided by AMD, in which the card is compared to a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, allow you to evaluate its gaming potential compared to competitors.
Recall that the Radeon RX 6700 is based on a cut down graphics chip Navi 22 with 2304 stream processors, 144 texture blocks, 64 rasterization blocks and 36 raytracing acceleration blocks.
Almost the same chip is used in the mobile Radeon RX 6700M for laptops.
In the reference version, the Radeon RX 6700 GPU's base frequency is 1941 MHz, the gaming frequency is 2174 MHz.
In Boost mode it goes up to 2450 MHz.
The novelty got 10 Gbytes of GDDR6 memory with 160-bit interface, 16 Gbit/s per pin and a bandwidth of up to 320 Gbytes/s.
It also features 80 MB of dedicated Infinity Cache memory.
Radeon RX 6700 power consumption is claimed to be 175W.

They are all in the same segment.
Perhaps that's why AMD decided to do a direct comparison between the Radeon RX 6700 and the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
The performance of the AMD gas pedal, based on the data provided, is at the level of the competitor.
At the same time, both models are inferior to the older Radeon 6700 XT.

Image source: AMDIt is curious that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with overclocked GPU took part in the comparison test.
Manufacturers usually do not conduct such comparisons, pitting cards without overclocking against each other.
In the published data, AMD does not clarify whether the NVIDIA card was used with factory or manual overclocking.
However, the company does point out that the power consumption of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is 230W.
So we are not talking about the Founders Edition reference version, which has a claimed TDP of 200W.
AMD points out that the Radeon RX 6700 at 175W power consumption is up to 33% more favorable in terms of performance per watt than the overclocked GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, but still provides the same level of performance.
