AMD released Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 21.12.1 driver with support for Halo Infinite and Icarus

AMD has released the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 21.12.1 graphics driver package for Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems. It adds support for Halo Infinite and Icarus, as well as optimizations for Fortnite.

The new driver version boosts performance in the shooter Halo Infinite with 4K Ultra settings on the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card by up to 17% over the previous driver version. Claimed performance boost of up to 19% in 4K Ultra on Radeon RX 6800 XT and up to 16% better performance with the same settings on Radeon RX 6700 XT compared to the previous driver version. Added support for Icarus and optimizations for Fortnite.

The new driver version also adds optimizations for Blender 3.0 with Radeon RX 6000 series graphics. Fixed problems:

Fixed issues while playing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy where some users could experience driver timeouts on some AMD graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 5500 XT; Fixed issues while playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds with multiple displays connected in advanced mode where the Radeon software could stop responding when the user was in the lobby and trying to open the Radeon software on an additional display via the context menu; Fixed visual artifacts on the vehicle logo or license plate while playing Forza Horizon 5 on some AMD graphics cards, such as Radeon RX 500 series graphics cards; Fixed a glitch when launching SteamVR Home on some AMD graphics cards, such as Radeon VII Graphics, observed by some users.

Known issues:

after upgrading to the latest version of Radeon software, the Power Tuning component of a saved tuning profile may not load correctly when the user imports a previously saved profile; Advanced Sync may cause a black screen to appear when turning on some games and system configurations. For those who encounter this issue, AMD recommends disabling advanced sync; Radeon performance metrics and logging features may occasionally report very high or incorrect memory clock speeds.
