GIGABYTE MZ71-CE0 and MZ71-CE1 are designed to work with two AMD EPYC chips

GIGABYTE Technology has announced the MZ71-CE0 and MZ71-CE1 motherboards designed to build servers on AMD's hardware platform for scientific computations, artificial intelligence (AI) application processing, and more. The novelties are made in E-ATX format and have almost identical technical characteristics. The boards allow the installation of two AMD EPYC 7002 family processors with TDP up to 280 W. Each of the chips can have up to 64 processing cores. There are 16 slots available for DDR4-3200/2933 RAM modules with capacities up to 128 Gbytes each.

There are five PCIe x16 slots, four SATA 3.0 ports and three SlimSAS connectors (12 × SATA 3.0 or 3 × NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4). There is an M.2 connector with the possibility of NGFF-2280/22110 module installation. The boards differ in terms of network connection capabilities. Model MZ71-CE0 is equipped with two 10GbE ports (Broadcom BCM57416 controller) and modifications MZ71-CE1 & ; two 1GbE ports (Broadcom BCM5720 chip).

Both versions have an additional network management port 10/100/1000 Management LAN, analog D-Sub interface, two USB 3.0 connectors and a serial port;
