AMD Ryzen 7 4800U Review

Ryzen 7 4800U uses 8 cores and 16 threads and is also equipped with 8 MB of L3 cache. The mobile processor is built on the Zen 2 architecture using a 7nm process technology. The base frequency of the processor is 1.8 GHz. In auto overclocking mode, it climbs up to 4.2 GHz. The integrated graphics chipset uses Vega 8 units operating at 1750 MHz. The TDP rate of the processor is 15 W (depending on the load this value may slightly change).

Being an APU, this processor was designed to meet certain expectations of the laptop users. Therefore, it is a powerful mobile CPU for thin laptops. In fact, U-Series are designed to work with “ultrathin consumer laptops”. We see Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14 (depending on the region the product name might change to IdeaPad 14) laptop as a good example of R7 4800U utilization.

Ryzen 7 4800U offers a powerful daily-use experience. As the mobility of the laptops is on top of the priorities, the CPU is also designed to consume less energy to offer a longer battery life. Radeon Vega 8 and R7 4800U together provide a responsive and swift performance for multiple tasks. You can handle your office jobs or you can entertain yourself by watching high-quality movies. You can play some popular games without heating issues.
