ASUS RS620SA-E10-RS12: world's first 6-node 2U server with AMD EPYC 7002

ASUS introduced the high-density server RS620SA-E10-RS12, designed for high-performance computing, large data analytics, virtual desktop support (VDI), and more. The novelty is designed for rack mounting.

ASUS calls RS620SA-E10-RS12 the world's first 2U server with six nodes, based on AMD's hardware platform with EPYC 7002 series processors (one per node) in Socket SP3 (LGA 4094) version with TDP up to 280 W.

Each node supports the installation of eight RAM modules DDR4-3200/2933/2666 up to 512GB, one low-profile gas pedal PCIe 4.0 x16 half length and one OCP 3.0 Mezzanine card (also PCIe 4.0 x16).

There are two M.2 connectors supporting 2242/2260/2280/22110 modules (SATA-3 or PCIe 4.0 x4), 1GbE LAN network controller and an additional network management port. Finally, each node has two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and an analog D-Sub connector.

The server is equipped with bays for twelve 2.5-inch SATA/SAS/NVMe drives. Two (1+1) 2200 or 3000W units with 80 PLUS Platinum certification are responsible for power supply.

These drives are compatible with Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, RedHat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, Ubuntu and Citrix XenServer.nbsp software platforms;
