ASUS has announced the new ZenBook 14 (UM425QA) portable computer: the device, designed for everyday tasks, is perfect for users who travel a lot and often perform work outside of the office or home.
The developer calls it one of the world's thinnest 14-inch notebooks based on AMD hardware platform. The laptop is encased in a chassis with a thickness of just 14.3mm. The maximum configuration uses a Ryzen 7 5800H processor clocked at up to 3.2GHz. The NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics accelerator takes care of the graphics processing.
The display features a 1920 × 1080 resolution (Full HD) and 100 percent sRGB colour space coverage. The screen covers about 90 % of the cover. The notebook comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X memory, a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD, Wi-Fi 6 adapter, Harman/Kardon audio, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C and HDMI 2.0b.
The design includes a sturdy ErgoLift swivel mount and a full-width backlit keyboard for comfortable typing. An impressive 16 hours of battery life is guaranteed on a single charge.
The Windows 10 software platform is used. Face recognition technology for biometric authentication is mentioned. Price is not specified;
