
Lenovo at CES 2021 unveiled a range of new laptops for gaming enthusiasts with the debut of Legion 5 models in two sizes, Legion 5 Pro and Legion 7.
The Legion 5 series includes variants with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch displays. The former has a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, the latter & ; 144Hz. The resolution is the same & ;1920 × 1080 pixels, or Full HD.
The Legion 5 Pro, on the other hand, gets a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 dots, 16:10 aspect ratio and 165Hz refresh rate. The same panel is used in Legion 7 notebook. In all cases, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX series graphics card is installed.
Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro laptops in maximum configuration carry the Ryzen 7 5000 processor family, the Legion 7 & ; Ryzen 9 5000. DDR4-3200 RAM is used, with capacities of up to 16GB or 32GB.
There's Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, Harman audio with dual 2W speakers, a 720p webcam, a backlit keyboard, USB Type-C 3.2 and USB Type-A 3.2. Storage is provided by a fast M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD with a capacity of up to 1TB or 2TB (depending on laptop model).
The Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro will go on sale in March, with prices starting at USD 770 and USD 1,000. The Legion 7 will be available in June for prices starting at $1,670;
