Thanks to the success with new processors and graphics cards, AMD has more opportunities to expand its staff and, as Phoronix reports, the company has some interesting Linux development jobs. AMD has long been «notorious for delays in building a Linux software ecosystem for its products. Among the company's active job openings are a development manager for the Linux kernel, a Linux technical lead, as well as engineers and system architects for the OS. Among others, coordination with OEM-partners and developers of key Lunux distributions are needed. All this is needed in order to offer complete, optimized Linux solutions to users on time.
At the same time, the job description mentions a new team or division created for strategic, deeper interaction with AMD customers' technical teams. The company itself claims that there is no separate division for the above tasks, but it may well appear in the future.
