AMD Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT graphics cards, which were announced in the coming days, will have suggested retail prices of $299 and $349 respectively. This was reported by Neowin citing a source close to AMD.
The authors of the publication emphasize that these prices are not final yet, and taking into account the deficit and other factors AMD and NVIDIA have repeatedly changed prices just before the official announcements. The RX 6600 XT is reported to offer better performance than the GeForce RTX 3060, which is priced at $329, and in ray tracing is slightly inferior to the NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, whose recommended retail price is set at $399. AMD originally planned to price the RX 6600 XT at $369, but later decided to lower it so that buyers would not opt for the RTX 3060, which has 12GB of memory versus the RX 6600 XT's 8GB. These recommended prices, emphasizes the publication Neowin, in practice, it is very likely will differ in large part, except in cases where we are talking about the products from partners involved in the announcement of new graphics cards.
As for the specifications, on board RX 6600 XT expected to 32 CU (2048 stream processors) Navi 23, and the amount of memory GDDR6 with 128-bit bus size will be, as already mentioned, 8 GB. A model without the prefix XT will get the same memory, but only with 1792 stream processors. Announcement of AMD Radeon RX 6600 series graphics cards is expected on July 30, and senior version can go on sale on August 11.
