NVIDIA introduced GeForce RTX 4090 and two GeForce RTX 4080 next-generation gas pedals priced from $899

NVIDIA has officially introduced the next generation of GeForce RTX 4000 graphics gas pedals.
In today's presentation, its CEO Jensen Huang announced the first models of the new series, the GeForce RTX 4090, the GeForce RTX 4080 with 16GB of memory, and the GeForce RTX 4080 with 12GB of memory.
In the reference design new items largely repeat the design of previous models.Image source: NVIDIAVideo cards GeForce RTX 4000 use GPUs based on the new architecture Ada Lovelace.
The chips have up to 76 billion transistors and are produced on 4nm TSMC N4 process.
The key features of the new architecture are 3rd generation RT cores and 4th generation tensor cores.
The company said that the new graphics cards based on Ada Lovelace architecture support DLSS 3.0 image scaling technology, which significantly improves gaming performance.
At the core of the flagship graphics card GeForce RTX 4090 is a graphics processor AD102-300 with 16 384 cores CUDA.
The declared frequency of its work is up to 2520 MHz.
The theoretical performance of the graphics card in single precision operations is 82.6 Tflops, which is 2.3 times higher than its predecessor on the Ampere architecture (GeForce RTX 3090).
It features 24 Gb of GDDR6X memory, 384 bit bus, 21 GHz effective frequency and 1 Tbytes/s peak bandwidth.
We are talking about power consumption of 450W, which is 100W better than the GeForce RTX 3090.
According to Jensen Huang, GeForce RTX 4090 is up to 4 times faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.On sale GeForce RTX 4090 will appear on October 12.
Its recommended price is $1599.
Along with the new flagship gas pedal Huang introduced two cards with the same name, but with different specifications.
The first is the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB.
At its core is half-cut processor AD103-300 with 9728 CUDA cores, running at up to 2505 MHz.
The card has 16 GB of GDDR6X memory with a 256-bit bus bit rate of 22.5 Gbit/s per pin (22.5 GHz effective frequency) and a bandwidth of 720 GB/s.
It has a claimed power consumption rating of 320W.
The model will go on sale in November.
Its recommended price is $1199.What was supposed to be the GeForce RTX 4070 model in the end was presented under the name GeForce RTX 4080 12GB.
This card uses an AD104-400 GPU with 7,680 CUDA cores, running at up to 2,610 MHz.
It has 12GB of GDDR6X memory with 192-bit bus bandwidth, 21Gb/s per pin, and a throughput rating of 504GB/s.
The new items have a claimed power consumption level of 285 watts.
NVIDIA has priced this model at $899.
It will also be on sale in November.
The manufacturer claims that the performance level of both GeForce RTX 4080 is 2-4 higher than the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.
